The first Presidential debate is in the books, but analysis of the fallout continues. Hosts across the Civic Media radio network critically examine former President Trump’s false statements, while expressing concerns about President Biden’s performance. The discussions include listeners who share opinions on the strategic direction the Democratic Party should take moving forward. Each show tackles different topics following the debate. Here is what you’ll find.

UpNorth News Radio: President Biden tries to answer debate questions while former President Trump doesn’t appear burdened with facts or fact-checkers. UpNorth News Radio Host Pat Kreitlow gets some thoughts on the face-off with a national political correspondent Keya Vakil.

The Earl Ingram Show: Earl Ingram, host of The Earl Ingram Show, breaks down the lies spewed by former President Trump with special co-host, Sandy Williams. They also talk about their concerns regarding the performance of President Biden. Callers weigh in on what the Democratic Party should do moving forward.

Matenaer on Air: Bottom line from the Matenaer on Air show? The Presidential debate was hard to watch. Host Jane Matenaer and co-host Greg Bach discuss the idea of fact-checking during the debate and ask listeners if the CNN debate moderators should have been checking the facts, for everyone watching or listening to it live.

The Todd Allbaugh Show:  There’s no sugarcoating it on The Todd Allbaugh Show as host Todd Allbaugh calls the Presidential debate a “doozy,” with President Biden having a rough night. Allbaugh points out the Democratic response has been extremely weak and pessimistic, and talks with listeners about it.

The Maggie Daun Show: Maggie Daun, host of The Maggie Daun Show, breaks down her thoughts following the first Presidential debate and zeroes in on her utter frustration about the choices available to the American public. Listeners agree with Daun’s exasperation that both candidates showed up as their ultimate caricatures.

BustED Pencils: Dr. Tim Slekar and Dr. Johnny Lupinacci, co-hosts of BustED Pencils, discuss the debate and share fear about what it means for public education. Slekar and Lupinacca talk about public education at the heart of democracy and point out there was no discussion of it during the debate. Listeners call in with ideas for uniting and rallying for high-quality public education.
